Abstract

ABSTRACT
During pregnancy, there are various changes, namely physiological changes and psychological
changes. These changes occur due to changes in levels of the hormones estrogen and progesterone during
pregnancy. One of the effects of physiological changes is lower abdominal pain and cramps in the legs, this
condition causes discomfort and if left unchecked will have further impacts such as disruption of the mother's
activities due to pain in the lower abdomen and disruption of the mother's resting pattern due to leg cramps that
are felt every time the mother sleeps. The purpose of this care is to carry out midwifery care in an
appropriate manner so that the discomfort felt by the mother can be reduced.The method used is a case study
with an approach based on midwifery management in the form ofsubjective, objective, analysis, and
management documentation (SOAP) with the results obtained after monitoring, namely the mother complains of
lower abdominal pain and often feels leg cramps, so the analysis that Mrs. X29 years old G2P1A0 gestational
age 35 weeks single fetus alive intrauterine head presentation with physiological discomfort of lower abdominal
pain and leg cramps. The care provided is education onhow to reduce or overcome physiological discomfort,
pregnancy exercise, and calcium administration. The conclusion of the care provided is in accordance with the
needs of the mother and the authority of the midwife. As well as physiological discomfort can be
overcome. Suggestions to the place of service are expected to provide counseling or education to overcome
physiological discomfort.
